The approach to avoiding the worst of AI was first articulated in Reid Blackman's book, "The Ethical Nightmare Challenge." A copy of this book is available in the Foundational ENC Training course.

We'll cover what AI is, what nightmares are baked into AI, and how you can use The Ethical Nightmare Challenge™ framework to avoid those nightmares.

You'll learn how to lead a team through the 7-step ENC method, including how to identify, score, and avoid AI nightmares.

Meet Reid Blackman, Ph.D.

Reid is the author of “The Ethical Nightmare Challenge” and “Ethical Machines.” As founder and CEO of Virtue, he has advised corporations, governments, and non-profits around the world on the ethical, reputational, and legal risks of AI. Prior to founding Virtue, Reid was a professor of philosophy, where he researched, taught, and published on ethics for over 10 years.

Reid created The Ethical Nightmare Challenge™ because he believes organizations need a straightforward, rapidly implementable, and scalable method for avoiding the worst of AI. He’s committed to the idea that if we teach people about AI in the right way, then everyone, including non-technologists like himself, can marry their professional judgment and their use of AI to create extraordinary results.
